The analysis presented here was carried out for the project “Evaluation and Enhancement of the Flood Early Warning System in Samsun”, under the Flood and Drought Management Project financed by the World Bank.
Structural, content, and vehicle loss estimates adopt the HAZUS methodology (Hazards U.S. Multi-Hazard), developed by FEMA, which provides depth-damage functions to quantify flood losses at the building and vehicle level across residential, commercial, and industrial occupancy classes.
